Scheduling Regulated Equipment Tests

Equipment testing is required whether it’s an Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) or an Underground Storage Tank (UST), by the Division of Oil and Public Safety and some other regulatory jurisdictions. Some tests are required monthly, bi-monthly, annually, bi-annually and some every three years depending on the equipment.

  • Release Detection  – if applicable – based on the equipment at the location
    • Tank Monthly Monitoring – Monthly Visual Inspection
    • Line Tightness Test – Annual Line Test or Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) at .2 or.1 or Interstitial Monitoring with sensor or without
    • Leak Detector Test – Mechanical or Electronic
  • Release Prevention – if applicable – based on the equipment at the location
    • Cathodic Protection 3 Year (CP)
    • Cathodic Protection 60 Day Rectifier Reading
    • Overfill Devices
    • SP001 Inspection
  • Operational
    • Annual Visual Inspection

    • Tank Monthly Monitoring – Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) or SIR or Interstitial Monitoring with sensor or without or Manual Tank Gauging
    • Line Tightness Test – Annual Line Test or Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) at .2 or.1 or Interstitial Monitoring with sensor or without
    • Leak Detector Test – Mechanical or Electronic
  • Release Prevention – if applicable – based on the equipment at the location
    • Cathodic Protection 3 Year (CP)
    • Cathodic Protection 60 Day Rectifier Reading
  • Operational
    • Annual Compliance Inspection
    • Monthly Compliance Inspections
